About

Thank you for visiting!

I created this site to share my passion for movement and for what I call ‘circus values’ – celebrating the human spirit through prioritizing self-expression and fun in our lives. The default vibe is kind, wonderfully weird at times, and inclusive. We are all simply where we are, and that place is A-ok. That said, if we want to be in a different place – we work VERY hard to get there. It has been nice to watch circus arts find a solid home in our arts communities, where it clear that circus and optimism go hand and hand.

As a young person I was a gymnast and later a springboard diver. I grew up doing many cartwheels in the backyard with my sister Lisa, and somersaulting down the hallway more often than walking it. In 3rd grade the nickname Amy Lynn was assigned to me before I could object, due to there being two Amys in the class. Decades later, the stage name AmyLynn represents my chance to control the narrative :)

When not on the silks, I like to travel, organize, do crafty things, play tennis, raise ant colonies, plan parties, do volunteer work, and just be creative. I serve on the board of the Seattle Moisture Festival, the board of College Club Seattle, and dabble in property management. I studied Graphic Design at ASU and Business at UW. I enjoyed a career as a web development entrepreneur and recently founded Trove Photo around my interest in photo management. My core joy is my daughter and two sons, a wonderfully supportive husband – oh and 2 cats.

I find one of the most motivating aspects of aerial arts just how far there is still to go. Thank you for peeking in on my journey and I hope to see you at an upcoming show!
